Terms and conditions

English translation. These terms mirror the German Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen, version 28 August 2026. The German text is the authoritative legal version.

2. Scope

These terms apply to contracts for video production, video editing, social-media content and camcorder hire. An individual offer or booking confirmation takes precedence where it contains a different or additional agreement.

3. Availability and conclusion of the contract

Checking a wedding date is non-binding. If the required equipment is available and no separate shipping or customs review is shown, the customer can review the essential contract information on the final order page and submit a binding offer using the button “Place binding order & pay”. Married on Tape accepts that offer once payment succeeds. The contract is then confirmed electronically.

If equipment is not immediately available or personal review is required, especially for shipping outside Germany, only a non-binding enquiry is stored and no payment is taken. After approval, the customer may receive an individual offer with a payment link. Married on Tape accepts the offer once payment succeeds and confirms the contract electronically.

4. Services, total price and payment

The offer, final order summary and booking confirmation define the package, price, wedding date, shipping, return deadline, editing and delivery. For standard bookings delivered in Germany, the displayed total includes outbound and return shipping. Any additional international shipping, tax or customs cost is stated before payment and included in the individual offer. Stripe processes the payment and may offer card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on availability.

5. Recordings and permissions

The person booking must ensure that the required permissions and usage rights of filmed people are in place. Where guests film, Married on Tape cannot guarantee a particular scene, person or technical recording quality.

6. Camcorders, delivery and return

Married on Tape dispatches the camera box so that, based on the usual parcel transit time, it is expected to arrive four to seven calendar days before the wedding date. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date unless expressly agreed otherwise. The customer must report visible shipping problems without undue delay.

If the customer expressly selects earlier availability or a later return before entering into the contract, the additional period is shown in the order summary. Each additional calendar day costs €30.00 per supplied camcorder. The arrival window and return date stated in the booking confirmation then apply.

All equipment and accessories must be treated carefully and returned in full. The return parcel must be handed to DHL no later than the end of the third calendar day after the wedding. Timeliness is established by verifiable handover to DHL, particularly the first acceptance scan or receipt. A later delay within DHL's network is not attributed to the customer.

If a late handover is attributable to the customer, a flat-rate usage compensation of €30.00 per supplied camcorder is due for each started additional calendar day. The customer may prove that no loss or a materially lower loss or use value arose. Married on Tape may prove a higher statutory claim; the flat amount paid is credited against it.

A due, undisputed or finally adjudicated usage compensation may be invoiced separately before the edited film is released. Statutory objections and retention rights remain unaffected. A disputed case is reviewed manually and no final hold is imposed solely by an automated calculation.

7. Film, raw material and usage rights

The selected package defines the scope, format and delivery of the edited film and raw material. Married on Tape uses footage for advertising only on the basis of separate consent.

8. Date-specific service, withdrawal and cancellation

The service is reserved for the event date selected when booking and the resulting hire, shipping and editing period. Equipment and editing capacity are kept available for that period.

Under section 312g(2)(9) of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts concerning services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period, insofar as the statutory requirements are met for the specific booking. No separate waiver is requested. If that statutory exception does not apply in an individual case, any existing right of withdrawal and all other mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Independently, a customer may request a contractual cancellation in a justified special case by emailing [email protected] with name, booking reference and event date. This is not a statutory withdrawal and does not create an automatic right to cancellation or refund. Married on Tape reviews each request individually.
